You'll own Chip's day-to-day relationships with the banks on our deposit panel, reporting to the VP Commercial and working closely with Treasury and Finance. Alongside running the existing panel, you'll help us bring new banks on board and improve the products they offer through Chip.
What you can expect to be doing:
- Act as a primary day-to-day contact for each bank on our panel, running regular check-ins, resolving operational issues and escalating where needed.
- Work with Treasury to monitor deposit flows, funding targets and capacity at each bank, flagging early when a bank is approaching its limits or a product is due to mature.
- Support the VP Commercial in commercial negotiations on rates, margins, funding commitments and contract terms, preparing the analysis and materials that go into them.
- Help grow the panel by researching and approaching new banks, building the case for each, and supporting them through to launch.
- Work with banks on improving the products they offer through Chip, feeding in customer and market insight and helping shape new product terms.
- Get hands-on with bank onboarding: due diligence, legal and contractual documentation, account opening, client money acknowledgement letters, and coordinating technical and operational readiness with internal teams.
- Support ongoing oversight of panel banks, including performance against agreed terms and SLAs, periodic due diligence refreshes, financial health monitoring and outsourcing and third-party risk requirements.
- Keep relationship records, contracts and oversight evidence up to date and audit-ready.
- Help build out the processes and playbooks the team will rely on as it grows.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years' experience in bank relationship management, treasury, deposit partnerships or a similar role, either at a bank, a savings platform or a fintech working with banking partners.
- A solid understanding of how banks think about retail deposit funding, pricing and liquidity.
- Experience supporting commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
- Comfort working through detailed onboarding and due diligence processes without losing momentum.
- Clear, credible communication with senior stakeholders at partner banks.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves in a small, growing team.
Nice to have:
- Experience at a deposit aggregator or savings platform.
- Familiarity with FCA client money (CASS) rules and outsourcing and third-party risk management.
- An existing network across UK challenger and specialist banks.

But they’re not the only thing we hire for. We want real people. People with interests, perspective and personality. The best teams are made up of individuals who bring different experiences into the room, not just polished CVs and good interview answers. So alongside the technical side, we’ll be looking for empathy, self-awareness, sound judgement, resilience and a collaborative mindset. People who are good to work with, especially when things get hard.
