At Chip, we are building several customer‑facing and internal AI‑native products to help us deliver innovative and personalised experiences to our customers and improve internal processes and ways of working. This includes our Wealth Agent and Customer Support Agent to deliver financial guidance and support at scale. We are looking for an AI Product Manager to help us deliver on this ambition. You will work closely with Product and Engineering leadership to shape and execute our AI roadmap. You will be a key driver behind it, contributing to direction, challenging assumptions and leading the delivery of AI‑powered features from concept through to production. This is a hands‑on product role. You will need to operate confidently across discovery, model evaluation, technical architecture discussions, governance and live performance optimisation.

What you can expect to be doing:

  • Contributing to AI Strategy: Partner with Leadership to understand, refine and evolve how AI can be used to improve customer experience and internal processes and ways of working. Translate strategic intent into clear product initiatives and deliverable roadmaps. Identify new opportunities where agentic systems can drive meaningful customer and commercial value.
  • Delivery of AI Products: Lead new AI features from discovery through beta, controlled rollout and full production release. Define success metrics for AI systems (accuracy, hallucination thresholds, customer impact, compliance, performance). Work closely with engineering to ship robust, scalable AI solutions into production. Partner with Risk & Compliance on assessments, documentation and approval processes. Ensure AI systems meet appropriate standards for fairness, accuracy and explainability. Establish structured go/no‑go criteria, including risk and governance requirements. Own post‑launch monitoring, performance tracking and iteration.
  • Agentic Systems & LLM Applications: Help design agent‑based systems (LLMs, orchestration layers, tool use, retrieval systems, routing logic). Define conversation flows, guardrails, human‑in‑the‑loop processes and escalation pathways. Partner with engineering on architectural decisions.

You will work closely with Data to define how we can evolve and improve data efficiency across the business, looking to improve data models, access and tooling using AI. You don’t need to build models yourself, but you must be technically credible and comfortable operating at this level of detail.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years in Product Management.
  • Meaningful experience working on AI/ML‑powered products.
  • Experience shipping AI features into live customer environments.
  • Experience working closely with engineers and data teams on technically complex initiatives.

Technical Capabilities:

  • Strong understanding of LLMs and generative AI fundamentals.
  • Model evaluation and performance monitoring.
  • Data pipelines and APIs.
  • Core AI risks (hallucination, bias, drift).
  • Able to confidently discuss architecture and trade‑offs with engineers.

Product Craft:

  • Strong discovery and problem‑framing skills.
  • Comfortable working in zero‑to‑one environments.
  • Able to break complex initiatives down into deliverable and testable slices.
  • Clear prioritisation in ambiguous environments.

Personal Attributes:

  • Strong critical thinker who challenges assumptions constructively.
  • Self‑starter with high ownership and follow‑through.
  • Excellent communicator across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy while aligning closely with senior leadership.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Enjoy a structured yet balanced workweek, with an early Friday finish to kickstart your weekend!

PERKS:

  • £70,000 - £85,000 per annum.
  • Discretionary Performance‑Related Bi‑Annual Bonus up to 10% (Cash) and 5% (Shares) based on your gross annual salary.
  • Workplace pension scheme – We invest in your future with a workplace pension scheme, contributing 5% on earnings up to £50,000.
  • Private medical insurance (medical history disregarded).
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Season ticket loan.
  • Free ChipX subscription for UK‑based employees.
  • We are an equal‑opportunity employer and value diversity.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus the days between Christmas and New Year.
  • Annual training budget for courses, workshops, or conferences to help you advance your career.
  • £30 per month Chip Fitness Benefit to suit your Mental/Physical Wellbeing.
  • Company laptop.
  • Opportunity to have a huge impact on our product while fast‑tracking your knowledge, responsibility and skills in a high‑growth fintech startup.

Our Interview Process:
