We’re looking for someone obsessed with social media. The kind of person who notices a trending sound before everyone else does. Who instinctively knows why one video gets 312 views and another gets 3 million. Who can spot a great hook within seconds, write captions people actually stop to read, understands internet culture intuitively, and above all else: knows how to stop the scroll. Because at Chip, we’re gearing up for our biggest year yet. With pensions launching, an AI wealth agent in development, and a major Channel 4 TV ad campaign on the horizon, social is becoming an increasingly important part of how people discover, engage with and connect with us.

What you can expect to be doing:

  • Creating standout, scroll-stopping content from idea to execution
  • Writing sharp, attention-grabbing hooks, captions and carousel copy
  • Creating written social content that people actually want to read, save and share
  • Filming, editing and publishing content across multiple platforms
  • Maintaining a high creative standard across everything we publish
  • Creating content that makes investing and wealth-building feel engaging, accessible and aspirational
  • Developing social-first creative concepts around our products and campaigns
  • Turning news, trends and internet culture into finance content people genuinely engage with
  • Building and maintaining a social content calendar
  • Working closely with Brand, Compliance and Growth
  • Tracking performance and understanding what drives engagement, retention and sharing
  • Testing new formats, trends and platform behaviours constantly
  • Supporting paid social creative and performance campaigns
  • Making sure content works within FCA compliance requirements

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • You make content because you genuinely enjoy it – not just because it’s your job
  • You’ve built a social channel to 50k+ followers, either personally or for a brand
  • You’ve created videos that have reached hundreds of thousands – or millions – of views
  • You’re a strong copywriter with exceptional instincts for hooks, captions and social-first storytelling
  • You know how to write concise, high-performing copy that grabs attention immediately
  • You can create written content and carousel posts that feel smart, entertaining and highly shareable
  • You have exceptional instincts for hooks, copy, pacing and audience attention
  • From experience, you know what makes people stop scrolling
  • You’re highly comfortable on camera and naturally confident speaking to audiences
  • You can confidently present ideas, interview members of the public, and become a recognisable face of the brand on social
  • You can independently take an idea from concept → script → shoot → edit → publish
  • You know what’s trending right now, and more importantly, why it’s trending
  • You understand how to make content feel premium, considered and high-quality – not loud, generic or trend-chasing for the sake of it
  • You have strong visual taste and understand framing, pacing, editing and storytelling
  • You instinctively know the difference between content that gets attention and content that builds brand
  • You have strong filming and editing skills
  • You can move quickly without sacrificing quality
  • You’re highly self-sufficient and full of ideas
  • You want to help build a finance brand people actively choose to follow

Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience creating paid social ads
  • Have worked in finance, fintech or another regulated industry
  • Understand social compliance and approval processes
  • Can animate or motion-design content
  • Understand creator partnerships or influencer campaigns

Someone who can create content that feels modern and entertaining without sacrificing intelligence or quality. Someone who understands that finance content doesn’t have to be boring. Most importantly, we want someone who can take ownership.
