We’re looking for a Strategy Associate – New Bets to help us validate and deliver high-impact commercial initiatives. This role gives you the rare opportunity to work directly with our VP of Commercial, CEO, and VP of Product, taking ideas from a blank page through to ExCo decision. You will own the business case and its financials, and will be close enough to execution to see your work become reality.
What you can expect to be doing:
- Build the business case end to end, developing strategies and plans for new product lines aligned to Chip’s short- and long-term objectives.
- Pressure-test with evidence, validating theses against market sizing, competitor benchmarking, and customer data.
- Carefully consider how to deliver on medium and long-term business strategies, including partnership, build, or acquisition alternatives.
- Present recommendations to ExCo and key stakeholders, making the case sharp enough to obtain a decisive yes or no.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Chip including product & tech, finance, legal, risk & compliance, operations, and corporate functions.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years in consulting, banking, or a high-growth company in a commercial, product, or strategy role, ideally with exposure to regulated financial services.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and genuine comfort driving things on your own and learning fast.
- Good judgement with AI tools, using them to compress analysis and production cycles (modelling, decks, research) rather than simply generating output.
- Clear, persuasive communication, on the page and in the room.
- Fast learner, self-starter, and comfortable working alone.
- Degree educated (2:1 or above).
- Genuine excitement for what Chip is building and a desire to help shape the future of wealth.
Benefits:
- £60,000 – £70,000 per annum.
- Discretionary performance-related annual bonus.
- Workplace pension scheme – 5% on earnings up to £50,000.
- Private medical insurance.
- Employee assistance programme.
- Cycle to work scheme.
- Season ticket loan.
- Free ChipX subscription for UK-based employees.
- Equal-opportunity employer with flexible working arrangements.
- 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus the days between Christmas and New Year.
- Annual training budget for courses, workshops, or conferences.
- £30 per month Chip Fitness Benefit for mental and physical wellbeing.
- Company laptop.
