Role Purpose
The SHEQ Coordinator will support the development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of SHEQ management systems, digital platforms and business intelligence reporting across the Power Transmission & Distribution business.
The role will be responsible for managing Share Point environments, supporting Power BI reporting, maintaining SHEQ databases and workflows, and ensuring that SHEQ data is accurate, accessible and transformed into meaningful insights that drive operational performance and risk reduction.
The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills across Microsoft 365 applications, including Share Point, Power BI, Excel and Power Automate, together with the ability to engage with operational teams to improve digital adoption and data quality.
Key Responsibilities
- SHEQ Management Systems
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Assist with document control processes ensuring procedures, standards and forms remain current and compliant.
- Coordinate Management System Updates Associated With ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, National Grid requirements, client‑specific SHEQ standards.
- Monitor document review schedules and support governance activities.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Share Point Administration & Development
- Develop, manage and continuously improve Share Point sites across the T&D business.
- Create document libraries, workflows, dashboards and communication pages.
- Establish effective permissions, governance controls and version management.
- Develop user‑friendly solutions to improve collaboration and information sharing.
- Ensure records management and document retention requirements are maintained.
- Support migration of legacy systems and documentation into Share Point environments.
- Power BI & Data Analytics
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting suites.
- Produce Visual Performance Reports covering safety performance, environmental performance, quality performance, operational assurance, incident trends and leading/lagging indicators.
- Build automated reporting solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Support predictive analytics and trend analysis initiatives.
- Ensure consistency and integrity of business reporting metrics.
- Digital Systems Management
Support Administration And Optimisation Of Eco Online, Microsoft 365, Share Point, Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Forms, Excel databases and other operational SHEQ systems.
Assist with system configuration and user administration; support development of automated workflows and reporting processes; investigate opportunities for digital innovation and AI‑enabled solutions.
- Data Quality & Governance
- Conduct regular data validation and quality assurance checks.
- Support development of data governance standards; identify gaps, trends and anomalies within SHEQ datasets.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and company information management requirements.
- Produce regular management reports and KPI summaries.
- Training & User Support
- Provide first‑line support to system users.
- Deliver training sessions on Microsoft 365, Share Point and reporting tools.
- Produce user guides and digital learning materials.
- Promote best practice use of SHEQ systems and reporting tools.
- Continual Improvement
- Support the implementation of digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to A‑Level standard or equivalent.
- Qualification in Information Management, Data Analytics, Business Systems or related discipline.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel qualification or demonstrable experience.
- Experience managing Share Point environments.
- Experience creating and maintaining Power BI dashboards.
- Advanced Microsoft 365 skills.
- Strong understanding of Excel, Power Query, Power Automate, Forms, Teams.
- Experience managing large datasets.
- Experience producing management information and KPI reports.
- Strong document control and governance experience.
