Position

Deputy Head of Science – Key Stage 4 Lead. The role is a full‑time teaching position for the Science department.

Job Description

• Support the leadership and management of the Science department to deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for students aged 11‑18.
• Work closely with the Director of Science to develop curriculum plans, monitor student progress and contribute to departmental initiatives aimed at raising achievement.
• Lead the Key Stage 4 Science curriculum and coordinate assessment and data analysis.

Skills and Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Secondary Education.
• Strong subject knowledge in science disciplines relevant to Key Stage 4 (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
• Effective communication skills with students, colleagues and parents.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that meet diverse learner needs.
• Good understanding of data analysis related to student performance.
