We are looking to appoint an Assistant Head of Sixth Form to support the leadership and management of Chingford Sixth Form, providing excellent pastoral care and ensuring continued success and development. The role supports the Director and Deputy Head in day‑to‑day management.
Responsibilities
- Embed the Sixth Form ethos and support the team in delivering strong pastoral care
- Monitor attendance and punctuality, and uphold the behaviour policy for post‑16 students
- Lead assemblies and support the tutor programme
- Respond swiftly to safeguarding and mental‑health concerns
- Contribute to parents’ events
- Assist with the UCAS process, checking personal statements and preparing students for interviews
- Support KS5 lesson and tutor‑time monitoring
- Help with Sixth Form marketing, such as Saturday interviews and school roadshows
- Lead post‑16 projects as directed
- Support students with university pathways
- Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by the Director of Sixth Form
