Production Operator

Location: Broughton, Flintshire

Key Information

• Contract type: Temp to perm
• Pay: £12.75 per hour (Day rate)
• Shifts: Monday to Thursday 7.45am–4.15pm, Friday 7.45pm–12.45pm
• Breaks: 30‑minute lunch, early and late 10‑minute breaks
• Overtime: Mon‑Sat 1.5× basic rate, Sunday 2× basic rate (optional)
• Holidays: 21 days + bank holidays once permanent
• Facilities: Staff parking, canteen, clean professional environment
• Benefits: Annual appraisals; training and licences (FLT Counterbalance, Overhead crane); additional free courses for works at height, confined spaces, further engineering qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate machines: loading/unloading parts, selecting correct programs, operating overhead cranes, manual shot blast peening operations
• Check parts have been processed according to customer specification/DSPP
• Ensure machines are set up to specification and tolerance; record tolerance using almen strips
• Mask panels for peening
• Perform safety and housekeeping checks, maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Complete training as required
