Job responsibilities include:
- Daily maintenance and operation of network devices in China Telecom London POPs, including CT global Internet backbone, SDH/DWDM Sino-Europe backbone, and Voice Switching equipment.
- Implementation of international circuits, service provisioning, service delivery, troubleshooting, and technical support.
- Maintain and update Operation Plan and other operational procedures, service availability reports, traffic management reports, and service improvement solutions.
- Provide pre-sales consulting support, resolve all technical issues arising during the sales engagement, understand customer business and technical drives, actively participate in customer network planning, and help clients define specifications, requirements, and engineer solutions based on customer requirements.
- Maintain close communication and cooperation with China Telecom head office and other domestic and overseas branches.
- Some business travel is required.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of network maintenance experience and SDH network and equipment maintenance experience.
- CCNP/CCNA qualified or equivalent.
- Familiarity with HUAWEI SDH, DWDM optical transmission equipment, and other related products.
- Familiarity with all submarine and land cable systems.
- University graduate holder in Telecommunications or relevant areas.
- Good command of both English and Chinese language skills.
