Job responsibilities:

  • Monitor and test the performance of Chinanet/CN2 network, proactively detect and resolve QoS deterioration, and constantly improve QoS of Chinanet/CN2.
  • Manage the transit and peering connection to ensure good network connectivity.
  • Liaise with other teams/external entities to ensure smooth network operation.
  • Daily maintenance and operation of network devices in China Telecom Moscow POPs, including CT global Internet backbone, Chinanet/CN2 Sino-Europe backbone, and IP access network devices.
  • International circuits’ implementation, service provisioning, service delivery, post-sale troubleshooting, and technical support.
  • Maintain and update Operation Plan and other operational procedures, service availability report, traffic management reports, and service improvement solutions.
  • Pre-sales consulting support, resolving all technical issues arising during the sales engagement, understanding customer business and technical drives, actively participating in customer network planning, and helping clients define specifications, requirements, and engineer solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with counterparts in HQ to design, implement, and support differentiated Internet products.
  • Follow up customer service escalation with internal departments and external suppliers.
  • Provide performance reports for VIP customers and organise service review meetings with VIP customers.
  • Gatekeeping customer credit claims and processing supplier service reviews and credit claims.
  • Maintain supplier information in the system.
  • Some business travel is required.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of network maintenance experience on IP networks and equipment maintenance experience.
  • CCNP qualified or equivalent; CCIE would be an added advantage.
  • Familiar with Cisco equipment and other related products.
  • Familiar with all submarine and land cable systems.
  • Preferably speaks both English and Chinese.
