We are a leading Chinese bank in the City and currently recruiting for a Graduate within the Financial Accounting Department. The Bank is renowned worldwide for the quality of its customer services and has operated in the UK as a Branch for 10 years.
As a graduate for the Financial Accounting Department, you’re expected to be a highly driven, career-minded individual who has basic knowledge of finance and accounting practices. This position provides an exciting opportunity for working within a small team and adapting to cover a broad area of duties.
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Bookkeeping and general ledger monitoring as well as month-end processing;
- Banking related tax returns;
- Regulatory returns required by the PRA, FCA and BOE;
- Assist with Head Office reporting;
- Assist with financial analysis;
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning;
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of Financial Accounting.
To be successful in the role of the Financial Accounting Department, the following key skills are essential:
- A Bachelor’s degree or above, ideally with an accounting background;
- Strong IT skills including excellent Excel skills as there will be opportunity to deal with the core banking systems, regulatory reporting software, and accounting software;
- Candidates holding accounting qualifications will be an advantage;
- Team working and an eye for numbers;
- Deadline driven and abilities to work under pressure;
- Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English and Chinese Mandarin both in verbal and writing.
This will be a full-time position and the successful candidate will receive a mark-to-market salary package depending on experience.
