A Revit BIM Modeler for AR/STR/MEP responsible for creating and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) models for architectural/structural/MEP elements within a construction project. They work closely with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure that the BIM model accurately represents the design intent and facilitates efficient construction and operation of the building.

Key responsibilities for each responsible trade:

  • Model Creation: Develop detailed BIM models of architectural/structural/MEP elements, including structural framing, walls, floors, ceilings, and finishes, using industry-standard software (Revit, AutoCAD Architecture).
  • Model Coordination: Collaborate with other project team members to ensure coordination between architectural, structural and MEP elements.
  • Data Management: Manage and maintain BIM data, including material properties, equipment specifications, and system performance data.
  • Clash Detection: Identify and resolve clashes between each trade elements (AR/STR/MEP) and other building components to prevent construction errors and delays.
  • Quantity Takeoffs: Generate accurate quantity takeoffs for architectural/structural/MEP materials based on the BIM model.
  • Documentation: Prepare architectural/structural/MEP drawings, schedules, and other documentation based on the BIM model.
  • As-Built Modeling: Create as-built BIM models to document the actual construction of architectural/structural/MEP elements.
  • BIM Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with project-specific BIM standards and best practices.
  • Focus on assigned trade: Responsible for the progressive updating of all architectural/structural/MEP drawings, construction model, and asset information model.
  • Encoding Codes: Responsible for encoding all necessary 4D, 5D, and 6D codes.
  • Clash Coordination: Inform technical coordinators and BIM coordinator on all model clashes and design discrepancies during construction model development.
  • Clash Resolution: Ensure to achieve discipline-level clash-free or acceptable clash standards are observed in construction model and asset information model development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Architecture/Civil Engineer/MEP Engineer or any related field.
  • Proven (min 3 years) experience in Revit architectural/structural/MEP BIM modeling, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD Architecture).
  • Strong understanding of architectural/structural/MEP design, construction methods, and materials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with BIM collaboration platforms (e.g., ACC, BIM 360, Autodesk Collaboration).
  • Knowledge of Singapore building codes and regulations.
  • Certification in BIM Modeling.
  • Ability to do all trades modelling is an advantage.
