As a People Services Assistant, you'll be the first point of contact for our People Operations team – helping colleagues and managers navigate key moments in their journey with us. From day one to day done, you'll deliver trusted, human support that keeps things moving smoothly and compliantly.
The Role
- Act as the first point of contact for People queries, offering clear and supportive guidance.
- Manage HR tickets, calls and live chat across starters, changes and leavers.
- Process key lifecycle activities including onboarding, internal moves, parental leave and flexible working.
- Maintain accurate and compliant colleague records in line with GDPR.
- Manage workload through Zendesk, prioritising to meet service levels.
- Spot risks early and escalate complex or sensitive cases appropriately.
- Work closely with teams across HR, including Employee Relations and Resourcing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying trends and recurring queries.
The Person
- Experience in an HR or People Services environment is a must.
- A strong understanding of HR processes and compliance, including Right to Work and GDPR.
- Confidence handling queries and explaining things clearly and simply.
- Great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at pace.
- A solution-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Comfort using digital tools and systems to manage queries and data.
- A collaborative approach and a genuine care for colleague experience.
