Category Manager in Nuneaton

We offer hybrid working, with an expectation that you'll be present at one of our Holland & Barrett offices in Nuneaton (or another designated location) for a minimum of 2 days per week.

Ready to shape the future of health and wellness retail? As Category Manager at Holland & Barrett, you'll own the strategy and commercial performance of your categories, turning customer insight and market opportunities into plans that drive profitable growth.

You'll have the opportunity to influence our customer proposition across Retail, Digital and Marketplace, lead supplier partnerships and help more people find products that support their health and wellness goals.

What you'll be doing

• Own category strategy, sales, margin, supplier income and profit, translating insights into clear commercial plans.
• Shape range, pricing, promotions and innovation to meet customer needs and deliver profitable growth.
• Lead supplier negotiations and Joint Business Plans to create value for our customers and our business.
• Bring Retail, Digital and Marketplace together through one integrated category plan, using digital performance insight to spot opportunities.
• Work with Demand Planning and Supply Chain to balance product availability, stock productivity and working capital.
• Partner with teams across Commercial, Finance, Marketing, Digital Trading and Retail Operations to turn opportunities into action.
• Lead and develop allocated category colleagues, building commercial capability and clear accountability.

What you'll bring

• Experience in Category Management, Buying or a comparable commercial trading role within retail or FMCG.
• Experience managing category P&L performance and delivering customer-led commercial plans.
• Knowledge of supplier negotiations, range development, pricing and promotional planning.
• Experience working across Retail and Digital channels, using data and customer insight to guide decisions.
• Commercial judgement, financial acumen and the ability to identify opportunities and act on performance trends.
• The ability to build effective relationships, influence stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
• Leadership and coaching experience where relevant to the role.
