As Director of Finance, you will play a key leadership role in shaping our future. Working closely with the CFO and Executive Team, you will ensure strong financial stewardship, support sustainable growth and help deliver outstanding outcomes for our customers and communities.
Job Description
- Oversee all aspects of the Group's financial management, including financial reporting, planning, budgeting and the maintenance of robust financial controls.
- Lead the finance team in embedding best practice and enhancing audit and year-end reporting processes to support the successful integration of the merged organisation.
- Lead the delivery of the annual audit, statutory accounts and year-end processes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accounting requirements.
- Oversee procurement activities across the organisation, ensuring robust governance, compliance with procurement policies and the achievement of value for money.
- Work closely with colleagues across the business to support strategic decision-making, develop financial strategies and promote effective business partnering throughout the organisation.
The Successful Applicant
- Qualified accountant with significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally gained within the social housing sector or another regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, risk management and regulatory compliance, with the ability to interpret changing legislation, implement best practice and provide strategic advice to senior leaders.
- Demonstrable experience of leading diverse teams through organisational change, leveraging digital solutions and process improvement to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Commercially minded and highly influential, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, translate complex financial information into clear insights and support effective decision-making.
