Achieving annual revenue of circa £7m and operating within the bespoke manufacturing industry, the business has developed a reputation for quality, agility and pace.

Managing Director: Remit
The Managing Director will lead the day-to-day management and strategic development of the business.
This role combines operational leadership with commercial drive, ensuring the company delivers sustainable growth, operational excellence, and strong customer relationships, while preserving the values and vision of the owner.
- Lead the business in partnership with the Board, delivering strategic objectives and driving sustainable growth, profitability, and long-term value.
- Provide overall leadership of the organisation, with full accountability for operational, commercial, and financial performance, including P&L, cash flow, and business planning.
- Drive operational excellence across manufacturing, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production through continuous improvement, cost control, and productivity enhancements.
- Develop the business commercially by working with the Sales Director to grow existing markets, develop new opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and support product innovation.
- Lead and develop people, fostering a high-performance culture built on quality, craftsmanship, accountability, and continuous improvement, while supporting succession planning and capability development.
- Oversee supply chain, procurement, quality, and compliance, ensuring resilient supplier partnerships, effective inventory management, regulatory compliance, and sustainable business practices.
- Champion health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring a safe workplace and compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standard.
- Managing Director: Requirement
- Proven leadership experience within a small to medium sized Manufacturing business, be it in an operational or financial capacity.
- Strong operational understanding of Manufacturing environments, including H&S.
- In depth experience of driving financial performance, software and processes.
- First class leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with all levels of stakeholders.
- An Engineering related degree or accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is desirable.
