Director of Executive Search & Operations

Chilworth Partnership are assisting a global manufacturing and consumer goods business, based in Andover, in their search for a Group Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a multi-entity, international finance function, drive process improvements, and lead transformational change.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and co-ordinate the monthly close cycle to ensure several international subsidiaries report their results to Group on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Take ownership of the key international financial processes, ensuring they are regularly reviewed, understood and adequately deployed.
  • Lead the review and redesign of international financial processes to better support the operating model of the EMEA business.
  • Business partner with the exec team across multiple jurisdictions, taking complex financial data and converting into meaningful business information.
  • Prepare a bi-weekly cash forecast by consolidating inputs from the international business, presenting this forecast together with funding recommendations to VP and Group Treasury.
  • Lead the planning and completion of external audit, liaising both internally and externally to ensure that Group and statutory reporting requirements, implementing appropriate controls where necessary.
  • Lead, manage and develop a small team.

You will:

  • Have experience of working and managing teams in an international environment, as well as be comfortable being hands-on.
  • Be a Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/QBE).
  • Have experience of working in a consumer goods business as a desirable background.
  • Have very good knowledge of ERP systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Office skills.
  • Have experience in the preparation of annual financial statements.
