Location: Chilton Meadows Day Nursery, Houghton-le-Spring.

Hours: 16 – 29 hours per week, Monday to Friday (between 7:00am – 6:00pm).

Salary: Starting Salary ÂŁ13.21 per hour.

About the Role

You will play a key part in planning and delivering high‑quality learning experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence, aligned with the EYFS 2025 and Ofsted’s “Exceptional” principles of positive relationships, inspiring teaching, and reflective practice. You’ll build strong bonds with children, support their individual learning journeys, and work collaboratively with families and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for every child.

About You

  • Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
  • Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Passionate, caring, and reflective practitioner with excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and teamwork.
  • Additional training such as Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, or Safeguarding is beneficial (training can be provided).
