Chiltern Open Air Museum is seeking a Volunteer Services Assistant to welcome visitors, handle admissions and retail payments, and support shop duties, with additional general duties as needed to assist the Museum team.
Responsibilities
- Provide a warm welcome to museum visitors.
- Assist visitors with any access needs (briefed on available support).
- Take payments for admission, shop sales, and annual memberships (cash and card handling; till training provided).
- Follow open and close procedures for the ticket office.
- Help restock and keep the shop clean and tidy.
- Assist the team with administrative or other small tasks during quieter periods.
- Provide support to the wider Museum team as needed.
Note: Hours generally offered on weekends (mainly Sundays) and bank holidays, with potential for additional weekday work during school holidays. Shift times: a day shift is from 9:30am to 5:30pm. Applicants must be over 18 years old.
