Our highly successful, well-established client is looking for a Showroom/Sales Assistant to join their team. You must be confident, motivated, sales and customer focused and with a creative flair. You will be providing first class customer service and support to clients as they browse the extensive range of products within the showroom, guiding them through the buying process right from the first visit through to giving advice on product application once delivered. Induction and training will be provided. Responsibilities: * Receiving visitors in a polite and professional manner * Product advice, providing design ideas * Raising Quotations * Processing/following-up orders as necessary * Dealing with telephone enquiries * Problem solving * Taking payments on orders * Booking/chasing deliveries * Providing technical advice * Sales aftercare * Assisting with complaints in a professional manner * Any other ad-hoc duties Essential: * Previous customer focused background * Ability to deliver a great customer buying experience * Ability to provide after sales and returns service * Strong communication and organisation skills * Ability to work within a small team as well as working on own initiative * Computer literate, with a basic level of Maths * Smart appearance, well presented and with a polite, professional approach * Self-motivated and with a good eye for design * Ability to remain calm and factual when dealing with distressed/demanding customers * £26K-£27K (D.O.E.) per annum * Hours of Work: Monday-Saturday 9.30am-5.30pm – with 1 weekday off per week * Closed on Sundays/Bank Holidays 4 Weeks holiday per year, increasing to 5 weeks with qualifying length of service Your birthday day off (after qualifying service of 1 year) Public/Bank Holidays and Christmas Eve off Access to their Employee Assistance Programme Cycle to Work Scheme Optional Pension Scheme Death in Service Private Health Care (after 3 years’ service) Employee discount Travel costs when travelling beyond your remit One free eye test every 2 years for employees using display screen equipment Access to lots of perks and discounts through their app
