Are you a driven and detail-oriented finance professional ready to make an impact? Our client is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their expanding team in Henley-on-Thames. This full-time, permanent role offers a unique chance to gain exposure to various facets of business finance within a dynamic, growth-focused company. About the Role:
As the Assistant Management Accountant, you ll play an essential role in managing financial operations and supporting decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and handling bookkeeping.
- Coordinating with payroll providers and performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Managing intercompany balances and maintaining primary responsibility forcompany banking.
- Preparing statistical returns and cost journals to ensure accurate expense recognition.
- Managing the Fixed Asset register and depreciation schedules.
- Supporting forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.
- Preparing key financial documents, including income statements and balance sheets.
- Conducting analytical reviews to identify performance trends and recommending improvements.
- Handling year-end schedules and managing sales commissions calculations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Monitoring financial controls and improving financial information systems for greater efficiency.
What We re Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for effective data management.
- A qualified or part-qualified accountant status with 3-5 years experience in management accounting or a similar role.
- Knowledge of Xero (desirable but not essential).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial information to colleagues at all levels.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £25,000 – £35,000 per annum
- Discretionary bonus of up to 30% of base salary
- Financial study support towards CIMA or ACCA (if needed)
- Generous holiday entitlement of 33 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
