Our client, a well-established organisation based in High Wycombe, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer Technician to join its team in a predominantly office based role.
This is a hands-on position supporting the mechanical build, refurbishment, testing and sub-assembly of machinery and associated parts.
This role will suit someone with strong mechanical aptitude, good attention to detail and the ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.
You will be comfortable working independently as well as part of a technical team, with occasional travel to customer sites when required.
Duties will include: Interpreting and working from mechanical engineering drawings, schematics and bills of materials Carrying out mechanical assembly of machines, equipment and components to specified tolerances and standards Completing refurbishments, overhauls and repairs, including fault diagnosis and corrective actions Assembling sub-assemblies and kits for the spares department Carrying out functional, mechanical and safety testing prior to dispatch Identifying non-conformances and providing technical feedback to engineering or production teams Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and efficiently Supporting continuous improvement activities within the workshop Attending customer sites when required for installations, se...
