Are you a hands-on, safety-conscious individual with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? We\’re looking for a Light Train Maintainer to join our dedicated team at our Wembley Depot. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring our fleet of Diesel Multiple Units (DMUs), locomotives, and specialist vehicles like sandite and water-jetting trains are maintained to the highest standards for safe, reliable public service. What You’ll Do * Carry out maintenance, cleaning and servicing of the fleet in accordance with engineering best practices and company standards. * Follow all technical and operational procedures, including Fleet Standards Information and Depot Maintenance Schedules. * Work safely, efficiently, and collaboratively in line with health, safety, and environmental policies. * Support continuous improvement and contribute to a clean, organised, and productive working environment. * Cooperate fully with depot procedures and team instructions as directed by Site Coordinators and the Production Manager. What We’re Looking For Essential: * A self-starter with the ability to work independently and follow instructions. * Strong awareness of safe working practices and COSHH regulations. * Able to work to set standards and contribute to team success. * Flexible, reliable, and willing to adapt to new ways of working. * Demonstrates good housekeeping and hazard awareness.
