Chiltern Railways is looking for a calm, detail-focused Service Information Controller to deliver accurate, real-time information across our network. Working in a fast-paced operational environment, you’ll ensure customers and colleagues receive timely and consistent updates about train services, particularly during disruption. From updating systems to coordinating alternative transport, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our railway moving and our customers informed.
What you’ll be doing:
- Updating CIS screens and public/internal information systems using Tyrell
- Making live long-line announcements where automated systems do not operate
- Responding to station help-point calls
- Reporting faults across Chiltern-managed stations
- Ordering taxi and bus replacement services during unplanned disruption
- Monitoring, reviewing and downloading CCTV in line with procedures
- Liaising with Control and station teams to ensure information is accurate and timely
