Based in Woking, UK, they also have worldwide offices in Aberdeen, Houston, Rio de Janeiro, Kuala Lumpur, Perth and Beijing. They are looking for a dynamic, talented and highly-motivated graduate engineer with an aptitude for analytical work to join their vibrant engineering team.

THE ROLE
The graduate engineer will perform design activities including calculations, dynamic structural analysis and system configuration for a variety of subsea structures. You will be responsible for ensuring acceptable structural and fatigue performance of the designs, whilst considering the functional, fabrication, installation and in-service requirements. The role will also involve extensive communication of technical results and conclusions to other members of the team and clients including meetings, presentations and the preparation of written reports, proposals and other deliverables. They use a number of software packages, from specialist riser analysis tools such as Flexcom, Orcaflex and SACS to general purpose finite element analysis and design tools such as Ansys and Solidworks. The team is dynamic and highly interactive, resulting in a great working environment which rewards strong and close teamwork.
Typical duties will include:
- Design of subsea structures, riser systems or components at concept through to detailed design level
- Analysis of subsea structures, riser systems or components using state‑of‑the‑art commercial and in‑house software
- Preparation of proposals
- Preparation of technical deliverables, including reports
- Client interfacing including technical presentations and meetings
THE CANDIDATE
- Minimum 2.1 degree ideally MENG in engineering (civil, mechanical, structural), mathematics, physics, or similar
- Aptitude and enthusiasm for carrying out analytical work efficiently
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to take responsibility and ownership of tasks
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A desire to develop their career and expertise in the oil and gas industry
- Previous experience with industry and with standard software is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
