A fresh Senior Engineer opening with a global engineering company this division specialise as a manufacturing company who design and produce equipment used within the global oil industry.

Location: Near York

Role of the Senior Mechanical Engineer :

  • The Senior Mechanical Engineer as an autonomous single point of contact for customers and internal staff, dealing with all levels of enquiries regarding the company’s products and services.
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers and the company’s Sales team in relation to the company’s products and services.
  • Produce a high standard of Engineering documentation (drawings; assemblies; BOM; installation instructions, etc) to support all internal and external activities within the company.
  • Complete hands on product testing/qualification and investigation work on the products.
  • Produce quotations and commercial proposals, as well as completing contract reviews on received purchase orders.
  • To be able to manage and prioritise a high number of projects at any given time, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Travel to client site (globally) to install electrical and/or mechanical products and support customer operations.
  • Adhere to their QHSE procedures and standards as well as group policies.

Required Skills and Characteristics of the Mechanical Engineer:

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Electrical based Engineering discipline.
  • Experience and knowledge of design, engineering principles, drafting.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings (ideally able to use AutoCAD Inventor software) and industry specifications.
  • Ideally 3 years experience in a customer facing Engineering based position.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to be proactively problem solve and work as part of a team. Show a commercial understanding and confidence to interact with all levels of personnel within the business and industry.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
