An exciting opportunity has arisen with a worldwide market leading multinational engineering company working with clients in the automotive, aerospace, renewable, scientific, pharmaceutical, electronics, oil and gas and food processing industries. They are recruiting a Graduate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or similar to carry out a Control and Automation Engineer role with experience in setting-up and programming PLCs to provide product support to their subsidiaries.

This would be ideal for a Graduate with a year or two's experience, who is looking for excellent training and career progression. This company is expanding fast, having grown from 200 to nearly 400 staff in the last 3 years.

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £28,000 - £48,000 (depending on experience), superb career and technical progression available, Bonus Scheme, Annual Bonus, Excellent Pension, Life Insurance, Private Healthcare Cover, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), buys and sell holiday scheme, free hot lunches in restaurant and sports and social club.

The role requires supporting our electrical products by answering technical questions, providing assistance for specific customer applications and performing fault investigations. The successful candidate will also be required to design and deliver training courses/presentations to European subsidiaries, create operation manuals and technical guides, as well as carrying out investigations and tests to evaluate the company's products.

The business is currently expanding fast, providing growth opportunities for those who join. As part of our global development team led by Japan, we are focused on delivering solutions to our customers that are innovative and future proof.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Degree Qualification BENG OR MENG ideally- Electrical, Electronics, Software or Electromechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 1 year relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of PLCs and Ladder or Structured Text programming language
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as you will be required to write detailed, technical reports and product documentation
  • The ability to occasionally travel to Europe
  • Any experience with some of the major industrial communication protocols would be advantageous but is not essential: PROFINET, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP and IO-Link.
