Location: Near York

Role of the Senior Mechanical Engineer:
- The Senior Mechanical Engineer will act as an autonomous single point of contact for customers and internal staff, dealing with all levels of enquiries regarding the company's products and services.
- Provide technical support and advice to customers and the company's Sales team in relation to the company's products and services.
- Produce a high standard of Engineering documentation (drawings; assemblies; BOM; installation instructions, etc.) to support all internal and external activities within the company.
- Complete hands-on product testing/qualification and investigation work on the products.
- Produce quotations and commercial proposals, as well as completing contract reviews on received purchase orders.
- Manage and prioritise a high number of projects at any given time, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Travel to client sites (globally) to install electrical and/or mechanical products and support customer operations.
- Adhere to QHSE procedures and standards as well as group policies.
Required Skills and Characteristics of the Mechanical Engineer:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical based Engineering discipline.
- Experience and knowledge of design, engineering principles, drafting.
- Understanding of engineering drawings (ideally able to use AutoCAD Inventor software) and industry specifications.
- Ideally 3 years experience in a customer-facing Engineering based position.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to proactively problem solve and work as part of a team.
- Show a commercial understanding and confidence to interact with all levels of personnel within the business and industry.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
