An exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Director to join an innovative and growing robotics engineering company offering a 4-day working week and flexible working. The company is moving from significant R&D and technology development into an exciting phase of commercial growth and is looking for a hands-on Finance Director to help develop its financial planning, reporting, systems and controls.
The Role
- Financial planning, forecasting and cash-flow management
- Developing and optimising the use of Xero
- Board and investor financial reporting
- Improving financial controls and data accuracy
- Management reporting and commercial analysis
- Supporting future implementation of Fathom Finance and CRM integration
- Innovate UK financial reporting
- R&D tax credits and capital allowances
- Supporting asset and intangible/IP valuation
- Working closely with external accountants and advisers
- Providing financial and commercial insight as the business grows
About You
- We are looking for an experienced senior finance professional / Finance Director with strong Xero experience
- Financial forecasting and cash-flow planning experience
- Management and Board reporting experience
- Strong commercial awareness
- Experience improving financial systems, processes and controls
- Confidence working with senior leadership, Boards and/or investors
- A hands-on approach suited to a growing business
Experience within an engineering, robotics, automation, technology or high-growth SME would be advantageous. Knowledge of Fathom, R&D tax credits, capital allowances or intangible asset/IP valuation would also be beneficial.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time role across a 4-day working week, with hybrid and flexible working. A minimum of two days per week in the Nottingham office is required.
