We are working with a leading global manufacturer to recruit a Compliance Engineer to join its European Technical Centre in Milton Keynes.

Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 DOE + Bonus & Excellent Benefits

Office Based | Excellent Training & Career Progression

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or Engineer with up to two years' experience who enjoys technical problem solving, research and working with engineering standards. You do not need to be a compliance expert already, as full training will be provided.

Working within an established technical team, you'll help ensure engineering products meet the latest UK and European regulatory requirements, while gaining exposure to international R&D and manufacturing operations.

The Role

As Compliance Engineer, you will:

  • Research and monitor European regulations, directives and technical standards
  • Support product compliance and CE marking activities
  • Monitor requirements including EMC, ATEX, RoHS, LVD and REACH
  • Keep up to date with changes to EU and UK legislation
  • Produce and update technical compliance documentation and reports
  • Respond to technical and regulatory queries
  • Work closely with engineering teams across Europe and Japan
  • Support internal auditing activities, with training provided
  • Help ensure new and existing products meet relevant legislative requirements

What We’re Looking For

You will ideally have:

  • A Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Graduate-level candidates and Engineers with up to two years' experience are encouraged to apply
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence producing technical documentation or reports
  • An interest in product compliance, engineering standards and legislation

Any previous understanding of CE marking, EU regulations, technical standards, compliance or internal auditing would be beneficial, but is not essential.

Experience within electronics, automation, manufacturing or another technical product environment would also be advantageous.
