Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship in Coventry

Coventry Full-Time On-site
C

Contract type: Fixed term contract

The School of Law at the University of Warwick welcomes applications from outstanding early career researchers to the 2027 round of the Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship Scheme, to start between 1 September 2027 and 1 May 2028. Early Career Fellowships aim to provide career development opportunities for those who are at a relatively early stage of their academic careers, but who have a proven record of research. The expectation is that Fellows should undertake a significant piece of publishable work (which should not be a reworking or extension of the doctoral research project) during their tenure, and that the Fellowships should lead to a more permanent academic position.

We welcome Expressions of Interest from outstanding early career researchers, who meet the eligibility criteria of the Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship Scheme. Specifically, we seek candidates with an excellent academic record; a strong publications profile; and innovative and ambitious research ideas.

The department will select oursuccessful candidate by Monday 7 December. The successful candidate will then have just over two months to finalise their proposal before the Leverhulme Trust's deadline of Thursday 18 February 2027, 4pm.

The selected candidate will be supported in developing their application for a Fellowship, leading up to the submission of applications to the Leverhulme Trust by the scheme deadline of 18 February 2027.

This competition is very competitive, but the School of Law has an excellent recent record of supporting successful candidates and will provide support throughout.

Full details of the duties and selection criteria for this role can be found in the vacancy advert on the University of Warwick's jobs pages.
