We’re looking for a certain kind of person… An engaging, confident communicator who brings energy, initiative and enthusiasm. Someone who builds trust fast, connects with people easily, and oozes warmth.
As our Chilled Recruitment Coach, you’ll be the warm, friendly face of Chilled Pubs — meeting all our future teammates and giving them the best first impression possible! This includes sitting alongside our line managers in every interview, helping to deliver culturally rich experiences for our candidates, supporting the interview flow, and ensuring our recruitment experience feels as good as our pubs do.
Your goal is simple:
- If they get the job → they leave buzzing, excited, and counting down the days!
- If they don’t → they walk away thinking, “Wow… I’d love to work there one day.”
Beyond interviews – you’ll coach our leaders to hire better and smarter, you’ll get stuck into screening calls, careers fairs, onboarding improvements, and help to build our interview training – so our hiring keeps getting stronger and more “Chilled” every day… This role is Monday-Friday, with the occasional evening/weekend when needed. A Full UK driving licence is essential as you’ll be travelling between pubs.
About Chilled Pubs: We are an independent, family-run pub company consisting of 7 beautiful sites, a central production kitchen, over 500 team members, and 7 alpacas. Our mission, which we have chosen to accept: To Inspire Togetherness. We do cosy spaces, seriously good food, and proper hospitality that feels like home. If you’re Humble, Hungry, and People Smart — you’ll fit right in.
The ideal candidate:
- Experience in recruitment or interviewing (hospitality experience bonus).
- A great communicator — warm, articulate, honest, and human.
- Confident handling difficult conversations with empathy.
- Able to give feedback to managers at all levels.
- Comfortable juggling multiple recruitment priorities at pace.
- Obsessed with giving candidates and new starters a genuinely brilliant experience.
Essential requirements: Must love Alpacas (non-negotiable).
