We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Junior Buyer to join our expanding Buying Department. Reporting directly to the Lead Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting the buying team across seasonal brand buys, supplier management, and day-to-day administration. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about fashion who is looking to develop their career within a fast-paced luxury retail environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Buyers in selecting and structuring commercially successful ranges aligned with the company vision
- Assist with range planning and data analysis ahead of buying appointments
- Schedule buying appointments and maintain the seasonal buying calendar
- Attend seasonal buying trips and trade shows in the UK and abroad to identify new trends and support the development of the brand portfolio
- Support and work closely with the Assistant Buyer and Buying Admin team
- Accurately check order confirmations and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with in-season replenishment and stock swap activities
- Organise end-of-season returns to suppliers
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Monitor the website daily to ensure product information and presentation meet company standards
- Work closely with the merchandising department and collaborate across wider business functions
- Contribute to internal projects and initiatives that support business growth
Qualifications, Skills or Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within luxury fashion or childrenswear
- Good written and spoken English
- Strong Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills
- A personal interest in fashion with good commercial awareness of the luxury market
- The ability to think creatively and contribute new ideas to enhance the brand and product mix
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A proactive and positive attitude with strong teamwork skills
- A professional and well-presented approach
- A willingness to learn, develop, and grow within the Buying function
