About the Role
North Yorkshire Council invites applications for a Specialist Social Worker to join a small, committed team focused on child sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation, missing children and contextual safeguarding. The role supports children and families through innovative approaches to complex casework.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a small committed team focused on child sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation, missing children and contextual safeguarding.
- Provide oversight and support to Children and Families staff and wider partners to consider innovative approaches to complex casework.
- Develop relationships and work alongside multi‑agency partners to ensure the right outcomes for children.
- Attend varied and bespoke training and share learning within the wider workforce.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant social work qualifications.
- Experience working in child safeguarding, exploitation, missing child or contextual safeguarding.
- Knowledge of solution‑focused, strength‑based relationship practice models, including Signs of Safety, systemic theory and the Family Finding approach.
