Role Overview

You will be part of a small, committed team focused on child sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation, missing people and contextual safeguarding. The role is non‑case‑based but requires oversight and support of Children and Families staff and wider partners, using innovative approaches to complex casework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with multi‑agency partners to achieve positive outcomes for children.
  • Provide oversight and support to staff caring for children and families, offering guidance on complex cases.
  • Attend and contribute to bespoke training in child sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation, missing persons and contextual safeguarding.
  • Share learning and best practice within the wider workforce.
  • Apply and promote solution‑focused, strength‑based models such as Signs of Safety, Systemic Theory and the Family‑Finding approach.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Evidence of experience working in specialist child protection, particularly in exploitation and missing cases.
  • Knowledge of child‑safety frameworks and safeguarding policies.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure required.
