Job Overview
We are seeking a social worker to support children and young people in our care, helping them achieve the best outcomes while they transition to adulthood or return to their families.
Responsibilities
- Implement and review care plans for looked‑after children.
- Provide support to children who are subject to Care Orders, Section 20 placements, or Placement with Parent arrangements.
- Manage a caseload that allows strong relationships with children, young people and the wider team.
- Work independently to meet timescales, prioritise conflicting duties, and deliver high‑quality service.
- Participate in one‑to‑one and group supervision.
- Contribute to the development of the Family Seeing and Signs of Belonging practice and the Building Brighter Futures model.
Qualifications & Experience
- Newly qualified social workers, up to senior social workers with experience may be considered for a senior role.
- ASYE (Adopted Social Work Experience) applicants welcome.
- Must be able to work independently, manage conflicting priorities, and meet timescales.
- Enhanced Criminal Record check via Disclosure and Barring Service required.
