You will be joining an authority rated as Outstanding by Ofsted in 2025.
You will be joining an authority who are passionate about supporting and assessing kinship carers to ensure children can remain with family or friends wherever possible

ABOUT YOU
You will have:
A recognised Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
A minimum of two years’ experience of working within a Local Authority or private sector fostering team.
Experience of undertaking assessments of prospective foster carers.
Sound knowledge of fostering regulations, childcare legislation, and safeguarding practice.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
The ability to work flexibly, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to work under pressure.
In-depth knowledge of legislation and a good understanding of the National Minimum Standards for Fostering (NMS 2011).
