We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Directory Assistant to join our team. This role is central to supporting the development and maintenance of Wokingham’s Community Directory and SEND Local Offer, ensuring residents can easily access accurate, up-to-date information about local services and support.

This role is available on a 6-month, full-time fixed-term contract. You will work closely with colleagues across Children’s Services, Digital Experience, and partner organisations to keep content relevant, user-friendly, and compliant with accessibility standards. This is a fantastic chance to make a real difference in how our community connects with vital resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update the Community Directory and SEND Local Offer content
  • Liaise with service providers to ensure accurate and timely information
  • Support user testing and feedback sessions to improve usability
  • Assist with analytics reporting and content performance monitoring
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
Candidate Requirements
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Confidence in using digital platforms and content management systems
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative environment and engaging with stakeholders
  • Experience in digital content, community engagement, or local government is desirable but not essential.
