We have an exciting opportunity available for a Climate Emergency Project Officer to join the Climate Emergency Team at Wokingham Borough Council on a 24‑month Fixed Term Contract. As the Climate Emergency Project Officer you will provide dedicated project support and leadership on a range of initiatives. You will act as a key point of contact for external and internal stakeholders, ensuring strong governance, effective communication and seamless organization of climate initiatives and priorities. This role sits at the centre of the Climate Emergency Programme, supporting senior leadership to drive forward a complex and high‑profile agenda. Working in a fast‑paced and politically sensitive environment, you will play a vital role in coordinating activity across multiple partner organisations. With project management responsibilities you will use sound judgment to prioritize competing demands, manage changing timelines and ensure relevant colleagues are fully briefed.
