We have an excellent opportunity for a Capital Schemes Project Manager to join our Capital Schemes team here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full‑time, permanent basis.

As the Capital Schemes Project Manager, you will support Wokingham Borough Council in the delivery of a wide range of projects across Infrastructure, working to help us make a difference with our clients in the delivery of a broad range of complex projects and programmes. This is a pivotal (mainly site based) role responsible for managing projects on the ground and ensuring sites are being run safely and works completed to correct highway standards.

Working independently and pro‑actively, you will lead on the delivery of the key objectives, engaging with managing stakeholders, and delivering high quality outputs and outcomes. You will provide oversight across multiple capital schemes, ensuring risks are effectively managed, projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards. Working closely with senior stakeholders, service areas and external partners, you will ensure strong governance, clear reporting and effective decision‑making.
