Play a pivotal role in orchestrating and managing strategic initiatives and projects from inception to completion for the Information Services department.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, application, data analytics and project management professionals, as well as stakeholders from different business units, and senior leadership, to ensure the successful delivery of the projects.

Your leadership and strategic thinking will be key in driving efficiency, innovation, and excellence within our Information Services department.

  • Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field. (Required)
  • Master’s Degree Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus. (Preferred)
  • Minimum Work Experience
  • 5 years Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or related role in the IT or Healthcare industry, with a successful track record of delivering complex programs. (Required)
  • Required Skills/Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of project and program management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (e. g., Jira, Microsoft Project, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience in risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with Healthcare IT project/program management is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to build successful working relationships with external vendors or out-sourced professional services providers.
  • Familiarity with Cerner Millennium, Epic, People Soft/Fusion, and Service Now is desirable.

  • Lead the end-to-end management of complex programs, including defining program scope, goals, deliverables, resources, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, timelines, and project plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for program stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status, risks, and mitigations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, allocate resources, and manage dependencies between projects and initiatives.
  • Implement best practices and methodologies for program management, ensuring consistent and efficient execution across the IS department.
  • Identify potential risks and issues within the program and develop strategies to address and mitigate them.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project/program managers, fostering their growth and development.
  • Monitor and report program metrics and KPIs, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Support the evaluation and selection of external vendors, partners, and contractors when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the IS leadership team to align program strategies with the overall IS roadmap and business objectives.

The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children’s National believes an individual’s base pay rate will fall for this position.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range.

The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children’s National compensation philosophy.

These factors are legitimate and non-discriminatory including, but not limited to, the current market conditions; organizational needs; the individual’s combination of prior work experience, level of education, knowledge, skills, and other qualifications.

This base salary range does not include our comprehensive benefits package or any additional compensation for which this position may be eligible.
