This role is a 12 month fixed term contract. The Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is seeking a Manager, Reward and People Operations to join our People team. This role offers a unique opportunity to support a global organisation committed to improving children's lives. This role requires in-depth experience administering payroll, with excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. You will have worked in an HR Operations team and supported all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will be responsible for managing immigration and relocation processes, working closely with external providers. Confidentiality and discretion are essential. Knowledge of employment legislation and experience managing HR systems and operational processes would be an advantage. You will quickly build a strong understanding of CIFF's policies and ways of working, enabling you to advise on employee lifecycle matters. The Reward and People Operations team consists of a Director, a Senior Manager and an Administrator and they work very closely and support the wider People team. This role reports to the Director. At CIFF, your work will directly support the effectiveness and wellbeing of our global workforce, helping to deliver our philanthropic mission.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end people operations processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Coach and support the HR Administrator.
- Manage the monthly payroll process for all locations, working closely with Finance and external payroll providers and responding to queries, escalating as appropriate.
- Manage immigration and relocation, partnering with external providers and acting as the first point of contact for relocation queries.
- Support and guidance for relocatees, working with external relocation advisors, being the face of relocation support for any questions.
- Manage and support relevant compliance and audit processes.
- Lead the administration and continuous improvement of HR systems related to payroll and benefits.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on reward policies and people operations procedures.
- Analyse data and produce reports on reward metrics and people operations trends.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing payroll and people operations activities within a complex organisation, preferably in philanthropy or non-profit sectors.
- Knowledge of compensation and benefits, employment law, and best practices in People operations.
- Proactive with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver within deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with proficiency in HR information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and adaptable approach with a proven track record of driving process improvements and innovation.
Benefits
- The starting salary for this role is £63,790 gross per annum.
- CIFF operates a hybrid work policy across all locations, which means employees work in the office on a weekly basis and also some of the time from home.
- Annual leave – 25 days per annum, increasing by 1 day after each year of service to a maximum of 30 days.
