About Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS)

Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) is a leading charity dedicated to providing essential support and care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Established in 1992, CHAS operates two hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch, offering a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people.

Our mission is to ensure that every child with a life-shortening condition in Scotland has access to the best possible care and support. We believe in enhancing the quality of life for these children and their families through a range of services, including respite care, end-of-life care, and emotional support.

CHAS is committed to delivering holistic care that addresses not only the physical needs of the children but also their emotional and social well-being. Our team of dedicated professionals includes nurses, doctors, therapists, and trained volunteers who work collaboratively to provide tailored care plans for each child.

In addition to our hospice services, we also offer community-based support, ensuring that families receive assistance in their own homes. This includes practical help, counselling, and access to vital resources.

We actively engage with families to understand their unique needs and preferences, fostering a supportive community where they can share experiences and find solace. Our vision is to create a world where no family faces the challenges of caring for a child with a life-limiting condition alone.

Through fundraising events, donations, and partnerships, CHAS strives to raise awareness and funds to sustain our services. We are grateful for the support of our volunteers and donors, who play a crucial role in helping us achieve our goals.

Join us in making a difference in the lives of children and families across Scotland. Together, we can ensure that every child receives the love, care, and support they deserve.
