Children'S Hospices Across Scotland
About Children’s Hospices Across Scotland
Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) is a leading charity dedicated to providing essential support and care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Established with the vision of ensuring that every child in Scotland has access to the best possible palliative care, CHAS operates two hospices: Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for these children and their families by offering a range of services tailored to their unique needs. We provide respite care, end-of-life care, and bereavement support, ensuring that families can create lasting memories together during difficult times.
CHAS is committed to delivering compassionate care through a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, and therapists. Our approach is holistic, focusing not only on the physical needs of the children but also on their emotional and psychological well-being.
In addition to our hospice services, we offer community-based support, allowing families to receive care in the comfort of their own homes. This flexibility ensures that families can choose the best environment for their child’s care.
We believe in the importance of raising awareness about the challenges faced by children with life-limiting conditions. Through various campaigns and events, we strive to educate the public and advocate for improved services and policies that benefit these children and their families.
As a charity, we rely heavily on the generosity of our supporters and volunteers. Every donation helps us continue our vital work and expand our services to reach more families in need.
Join us in making a difference in the lives of children and families across Scotland. Together, we can ensure that no family faces the challenges of life-limiting conditions alone.
