Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity at Children North East. You will continue the work that has already been established and will continue to update our social policy positions, campaign for change and assist in influencing local and national social policy to improve the lives of babies, children and young people.

Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities as Policy Officer will be to work against a clear plan linked to the policy objectives within our 5 year strategy. This will include:

1. Researching and analysing data
2. Advising on various issues including the impact of policy decisions
3. Connecting with MPs and local councillors
4. Being part of relevant campaigning groups
5. Carrying out developmental work
6. Liaising with internal and external contacts in the wider community
