Children North East is a large North East based children's charity that works across the region, with some work extending across England, Wales and Scotland. We exist because growing up can be hard. We want all babies, children and young people to be happy and healthy, and to grow up feeling safe and loved, resilient to the challenges they may face, and valued and confident.

Children North East is thrilled to be opening our first-ever charity shop in Morpeth, with exciting plans to grow our retail offer in the future. Our retail vision is about much more than selling second-hand goods – it’s about creating sustainable income to support children and families, building a strong community presence, and championing environmental sustainability through reuse and upcycling.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to support our Retail Manager and volunteers as we establish and grow this exciting new venture. As our Assistant Manager, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day running of our charity shop, supporting our Retail Manager and volunteers across all aspects of the store operation. Your role will involve customer interaction, handling donations, managing stock rotation, and creating engaging merchandise displays to ensure an exceptional customer experience and a welcoming community environment.

By becoming an Assistant Manager at Children North East, you will join a passionate and supportive team where your contributions make a real difference. You’ll gain valuable experience across all areas of charity retail operations and play an essential role in our mission to positively impact local communities and the environment.
