Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity if you are an experienced Lead Nursery Practitioner (two positions available in Edinburgh and Aberdeen) looking to develop your career to the next level. This role enables you to gain experience in leadership with the support of the senior management team.

You will be leading a team as well as role modelling high quality childcare in room.
You will be someone who is passionate about delivering excellent standards of childcare and education to all the families within the nursery.
Some of your responsibilities will include:-
- Be responsible for the room/team's performance.
- Ensuring the children are cared for in a happy and stimulating environment.
- Manage all aspects of the room.
- Working in partnership with parents and carers
- Support children in their individual routines such as meals, nappies, sleep and outings
- Experience of being a key person including writing assessments and observations
- Safeguarding and promoting the health, safety and welfare of children
- Following and implementing all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery.
- Be able to capture children's learning moments and record them.
- Responsible for leading and supporting a team of Nursery Nurses, ensuring all Key Person's tasks are completed.
You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:
- Minimum NVQ 3 childcare and education or government recognised
- equivalent.
- A high degree of professionalism.
- A sound knowledge of child protection procedures.
- A sound knowledge of child development for children from birth to five years and understanding the curriculum.
- Experience of working with children 0-5 years.
Please note the employer could be flexible for the right candidate. We are the only recruiter working on this position.
