We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to oversee the daily responsibilities of the Baby/Toddler room. This beautiful and small nursery in West Watford is looking for an experienced Nursery Room Leader to join the team. The nursery prides itself on quality and excellence. You will be someone who works well as a team and ensures a high quality of childcare.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility for the team’s performance.
- Ensuring the children are cared for in a happy and stimulating environment.
- Managing all aspects of the Toddler room.
- Working in partnership with parents and carers.
- Supporting children in their individual routines such as meals, nappies, sleep and outings.
- Experience of being a key person including writing assessments and observations.
- Safeguarding and promoting the health, safety and welfare of children.
- Following and implementing all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery.
- Be able to capture children’s learning moments and record them.
- Responsible for leading and supporting a team of Nursery Practitioners, ensuring all Key Person’s tasks are completed.
You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:
- Minimum NVQ 3 childcare and education or recognised equivalent.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
- A sound knowledge of child protection procedures.
- A sound knowledge of child development for children from birth to five years and understanding of the EYFS.
- Experience of working with children 0-5 years, preferably Toddler room experience.
All successful applicants will be required to have an Enhanced DBS carried out.
