Location: Lime Grove Day Nursery (HP1 1JS)

Contract: Permanent

Hours & Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year; Monday to Friday, varied shifts between 07:00‑18:30.

Salary: £33,793.50 – £38,454 per annum (pro‑rata)

Reporting to: Nursery Manager

Role Summary

The Nursery Quality Manager focuses on coaching, quality improvement, and professional practice within the nursery, operating without the pressures of room ratios. The role leads and mentors staff, maintains high standards of care, and supports the Nursery Manager in delivering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, role‑model best practice, and support colleagues to develop professionally.
  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of EYFS and SEND Code of Practice.
  • Mentor and coach teams to build confident, motivated, and high‑performing practitioners.
  • Advocate for safeguarding and prioritise the wellbeing of children and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to review, evaluate, and continuously improve provision.
  • Take full responsibility for maintaining quality and compliance in the manager’s absence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • DfE‑approved Early Years qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Currently in a senior early‑years role (e.g. Third‑in‑Charge, Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager).
  • Strong track record of leadership, coaching, and practice excellence.
  • Experience with EYFS and SEND practice and safeguarding.
