Job Overview

Qualified Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 or above)

Location: Green Day Nursery, Redbourn, AL3 7NB

Contract: Permanent – 20‑40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Key working pattern: Monday‑Friday, 07:30‑18:30; choose 4 or 5‑day week.

Salary: £27,040‑£32,427.20 per annum (pro‑rated) – £13.00‑£15.59 per hour.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Create learning opportunities; plan and implement high‑quality, engaging activities that promote learning through play.
  • Observe, assess and record children’s progress, operating as a Key Person.
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment; promote safeguarding and children’s well‑being.
  • Collaborate with parents, children and colleagues; communicate effectively and build positive relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

  • DfE approved early years qualification at Level 2 or above.
  • Experience working with the EYFS framework, with responsibilities for planning, assessment and record‑keeping.
  • Current DBS check and commitment to participant safeguarding.
  • Right to work in the UK; residency within commutable distance of the nursery.
